REGAL Multi-Stage Incubator separates the 12 racks into 2 zones. Zone One is the Mid and Late Stage zone with 8 racks. Zone Two is the Early Stage zone with 4 racks. Zone Two (Early Stage with 4 racks near the entrance): Oxygen requirement is low in this region. Ventilation is restricted to maintain a uniform environment. This zone has no air inlet, therefore elevated humidity can be maintained without the use of humidifier. Zone One (Mid and Late Stage with 8 racks near the exit): Intelligent temperature control is used in the major 4-rack zone, ensuring that the air temperature of the return airflow is at 38°C (or 100.6°F). This eliminates the excessive high temperature problem at rack position #3 and #4 of traditional tunnel incubators. |
Weaknesses of the traditional multi-stage incubator:

Performance and Benefits
REGAL Multi-Stage Incubators increase yield of healthy salable chicks by at least 1%. These analysis is based on setting eggs twice a week.
Analysis 1: Based on a hatchery capacity of 50 million day-old chicks per year, and $0.50 per chick. REGAL incubators would produce 500,000 more healthy salable chicks at a value of $250,000.
Analysis 2: The annual production of each machine is approximately 1.5 million day-old chicks. A 1% increase in performance results in an additional 15,000 salable quality chicks per year, valued at $7,500.

Increased Production Capacity
Even temperature distribution in REGAL Multi-Stage Incubators allows for hatching every 3 days, traditional incubators hatch on 3 and 4 day cycles.

Cost Savings
REGAL Multi-Stage Incubator is equipped with an advance airflow system and a powerful cooling system as well as an efficient humidity control system. Therefore, additional Air Handling Units are not required in the hatchery.
Power consumption
REGAL Multi-Stage Incubator uses 9 fans (Toshiba motors), an additional 3 fans compared to traditional machines, with a total rated power of 750W more. However, the power consumption increase is not significant due to a reduction in airflow resistance. Our tests measure only an additional 10kWh consumed per day.
